From Lisbon Airport to the City Center

Lisbon International Airport is located in the city, 7 km from the centre.

By Taxi from the Airport to the City

There is a taxi rank at the Airport arrivals. Please only use official taxis from the official taxi rank. The taxi meter should show 2,50 € (daytime) and 2,90€ (night) and the distance is metered from then on. Expect to pay a €2.50 surcharge for luggage.

By Bus from the Airport to the City

The name of the bus company in Lisbon is Carris - http://www.carris.pt/en/home/
Travel Time: 15 minutes without traffic – please allow extra time during the rush hour.

There is an Aerobus (Carris nº 91) running between the Airport and the city centre, everyday from 07:45 to 20:15, departing every 20 minutes. 

From the Airport to Vip Grand Lisboa Hotel Spa, Vip Zurique and Holiday Inn Lisboa-Continental area, you can also take the Bus Carris n.º 22, 44, 91 and 208, getting off at "ENTRECAMPOS". Ticket can be purchased on board. Fare: € 1,70 (one way – onboard fare); € 4,00 (one day bus ticket charged on the electronic card “Viva Viagem / 7 Colinas” - € 0,50).

The Lisbon Underground

Metro de Lisboa

Lisbon is well served by underground (metro). It is the most comfortable and fast way to move in the city, but some historic places cannot be reached by metro.

The Universidade de Lisboa is at Cidade Universitária station, Yellow line.

One way ticket costs € 1.05.

One day ticket for the underground costs € 4.60

The underground tickets are charged on the electronic card “Viva Viagem” which costs € 0,50.

 

Getting from the Hotels to the University

The conference will take a place at the Rectorate of the University of Lisbon. The University is located in the city centre next to an underground station.
